Rezistenca

Der Bildhauer Hannes Zebedin befasstsich intensiv mit der Alpen- Adria- Region,in der er geboren und aufgewachsen istund in der er zum Teil auch heute nochlebt. In seinen Arbeiten analysiert er dieAuswirkungen geopolitischer Strukturen aufdie Landschaft, darunter etwa die Tatsache,dass sich die Geschwindigkeit des WindesBora im Vipava- Tal in Slowenien auch inder Architektur niederschlägt- so habendie Häuser keine Fenster gegen Norden.Außerdem ist die Gegend der Geburtsortder ersten Antifaschistischen Bewegung inEuropa( TIGR), was sich mit der Sloweni-schen Partisanenbewegung im 2. Weltkriegfortgesetzt hat. Die Installation Rezistencagreift beide Traditionen auf: Die Handwerk-straditionen dieser Gegend, die auf dieSpitzengeschwindigkeiten des Windes Borareagieren mussten, und auf die politischeTradition des Widerstands.

The sculptor Hannes Zebedin dealsintensively with the Alps- Adriatic region,in which he was born and raised and inwhich he still lives partially today. In hiswork, he analyzes the effects of geopoliticalstructures on the landscape, including thefact that the speed of the wind Bora in theVipava Valley in Slovenia is also reflected inthe architecture- for example, the houseshave no north- facing windows. In addition,the area is the birthplace of the first anti-Fascist movement in Europe( TIGR), whichcontinued with the Slovenian partisanmovement in World War II. The installationRezistenca takes up both traditions: thecraft traditions of this area, which had torespond to the top speeds of the Bora Wind,and the political tradition of resistance.
