Heute, im Jahr 2015, sind die Stückeaus Freuds Dining Room im Volkskun-demuseum Wien zu Gast: Sie bzw. ihreAbstraktionen sind Nukleus einer Aus-stellungsintervention in der ständigenMöbelpräsentation des Museums, dieeiner typologischen und entwicklungs-geschichtlichen Aufstellung folgtund seit ihrer Einrichtung im Jahr 1994unverändert geblieben ist. Die dreiKästen und zwei Truhen aus dem FreudMuseum stehen im Mittelpunkt vonfünf Stationen, in denen ihrer Geschich-te nachgespürt wird. Auf den erstenBlick erscheinen sie wie eine Fuẞnotein der Biografie- Forschung Anna Freuds.Sie gewähren jedoch als Einzelstückewie auch in ihrer Gesamtheit und inder Zusammenführung mit spärlichenQuellen einem Fotoalbum, einemGedicht, wenigen Briefzeilen und Fotos- Einblicke in das Leben der Psycho-analytikerin und ihrer Gefühlswelt, diebislang kaum Berücksichtigung fanden.Gerade die Auseinandersetzung mitder Materialität der einzelnen Möbel-stücke und ihrer„ Objektbiografie" eröff-net Aspekte, die für diese Dinge derEmigration" bezeichnend sind und dieerinnerungsgeschichtlich wie historischeinzuordnen sind.
