Im linken und rechten Bildrand ist jeweils eine Mauer oder Wand zu sehen, dazwischen der Blick auf einen Hof mit flachem Becken (Impulvium), in der Mitte ein kleiner, viereckiger Sockel. Rechts neben dem Becken zwei M\u00e4nner, einer auf einem Hocker sitzend, der zweite hinter ihm stehend mit verschr\u00e4nkten Armen. An seinem G\u00fcrtel h\u00e4ngt eine Waffe. Im Bildhintergrund sind S\u00e4ulen mit korinthischen Kapitellen, ein Architrav, B\u00e4ume und der Vesuv erkennbar.
